Welcome to the world of optical illusions.
Optical Illusion (visual illusion) is a deceptive or ambiguous perception of physical properties of images. This effect is caused by the complex mechanism the eye perceives light, relays to the brand, and the brain interprets them. Combination of colors, contrasts, shapes, patterns, spatial relations, and other visual stimuli can make the brain produce interesting perceptions different from the physical reality.
As most aspects in life, optical illusion is a subjective phenomena inherent in each human being who tries to understand and make sense of its surroundings. The gap between our perceptions and reality is filled in by our brains which results in different/multiple interpretations of the same image. Luckily, these perceptions and interpretations are shared by most of us. We will dedicate this website to the interesting and fascinating world of optical illusions. Have fun!
In this treacherous world
nothing is either truth or lie;
everything depends on the color
of the crystal that one looks through.
- Ramón de Campoamor (1817 – 1901)
